On Saturday 12 September 2026 at 10.00 am, the PUTOJA Trail’26 running event will take place for the third time. The 8km route will, as usual, wind its way through the stunningly beautiful Pavilnys Regional Park, shaped by the last ice age, which is rich in preserved industrial heritage.

The start and finish are located next to the main entrance to the ‘Dūmų fabrikas’, housed in the building that once housed the world’s largest scythe factory, which operated in the early 20th century.

The running route, starting in the inner courtyard of Dūmų fabrikas, will lead towards the underpass beneath S. Batoro Street, then, after passing through the underpass and emerging at the foot of the Rokantiškiai hillfort, it will continue towards the Pučkoriai and Rokantiškės hillforts, climbing to the hilltops and allowing participants to admire, from the hilltops, the landscape of the Vilnia River valley, the complex of Lithuania’s first paper mill and its reservoir.
