Law and creativity seem to have little in common. But in reality, there is quite a lot of creativity in law. Choosing the right word that would strengthen the argument in the procedural document, preparing the closing speech, and finding a creative form to present the position and the story of the client.
It is difficult to surprise anyone in a conservative legal field. However, attorney Henrikas Stelmokaitis has been doing this for several years. In his project #11dovanu/ #11gifts, he connects fairy tales, beer, sports, and music with competition law. The stories are illustrated with photos that are unusual for lawyers.
Competition law is everywhere. This is the main idea of the photo exhibition #11dovanu in Dūmų Fabrikas. Real stories where unscrupulous companies received millions or even billions in fines and the connections of these stories with our everyday life. Come see and find out. Each photo is accompanied by stories designed to educate about competition law in plain language so that legal tedium doesn't distract us from what's important to our wallets. Be surprised that even competition law can be interesting.
In the exhibition, you will see stories about competition law in the beer market and the connection between competition law and the texts of the Lithuanian alternative scene. 22 photos in total.
The author of the first series of photographs is also a lawyer, Evelina Kiznė. Photographed at Dūmų Fabrikas, "Leičiai" bar, "Kuro aparatūra", "Genio Taproom", Pilialaukis Brewery.
The second part of the exhibition is about music. The synergy between lyrics and competition law is revealed by citing lyrics of "Abii", "Akli", "ba.", "Elnios rago miškas", FC Baseball, "Kedrostubùras", Kristijonas Ribaitis. Reflections on this synergy are accompanied by photographs of Sandra Čiaraite, head of compliance at a fintech company. Discover the playlist #11dovanu2024 on Spotify.
