This October at Dūmų fabrikas, explore the world of organic aesthetics. The interdisciplinary neuroaesthetics exhibition, “The Experience of Organic Aesthetics: Recognizing Humanity,” invites reflection on the essence of human nature.
In an age marked by digital advancements and breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, discussions about our unique human identity and essence have intensified. This exhibition provides a space for organic experiences and contemplations on knowledge and humanity. Organic aesthetics go beyond the mere superficiality of objects and spaces, representing a deep, personal, and dynamic engagement with reality.
This experience will be further enriched by a specially designed auditory journey based on neuroaesthetics. It will reveal how art and aesthetics shape our emotions, worldview, and habits, and, crucially, our individual identities.
We prompt attendees to question: Do we recognize what is truly organic – the confluence of nature and human creativity – and distinguish it from what is artificial or synthetic? When do we hear the voice of our innate nature, and when are we swayed by deep-seated cultural codes? To which era – the past or the future – do we feel more connected?
This exhibition invites attendees to delve into the profound role organic aesthetics play in contemporary society and even in business realms. Organic aesthetics and knowledge present solutions free from cultural stereotypes, paving the way for intercultural innovations that bridge not only nations but also span historical and cultural dimensions.

The art project, “The Experience of Organic Aesthetics: Recognizing Humanity,” strives to weave organic aesthetics into our everyday life. In an age where pausing for introspection is often overlooked, this initiative offers a unique chance to reconnect with our human origins and rekindle our introspective abilities. It is through such contemplation that we can craft an authentic life and fully realise our innate potential.

Individual Exhibition Experience
REFLECTING ON HUMAN NATURE AND CULTURAL CODES

Through the intercultural art pieces showcased by “Amres Art Gallery,” you will discern the profound influence of cultural codes and stereotypes on our perceptions. Drawing from neuroaesthetics research, an enveloping auditory narrative—sometimes evolving into a personal dialogue—reveals the essence of our self-identity, the key factors shaping our daily culture, and our emotional experiences. This is not merely a walk through the exhibition space; it is a voyage across our states of being, spanning our past, present, and potential future.

*Please bring headphones for the auditory exhibition experience. If you do not have any, they will be provided for free in the exhibition space.

Film Viewing and Open Reflection
THE BIRTH OF INTERCULTURAL INNOVATIONS THROUGH ORGANIC AESTHETICS

In an evening of open dialogue and reflection, we will explore how organic aesthetics can enhance authentic creativity and encourage intercultural innovations and novel solutions.

As part of the discussion, Rasa Baltė-Balčiūnienė, known as the co-creation moderator and innovator of new meanings, will join artist and clay plaster decorator Mantas Petravičius to reflect on the birth of the first clay plaster art object - the aesthetics table. This innovative project portrays aesthetics as an evolving, lively process, intertwining senses, emotions, and diverse artistic expressions.

You will also have the opportunity to view the documentary film “The Feminine Origin: Co-Creating Organic Aesthetics.” This film explores how wearable art merges various cultures, techniques, and traditions, offering a fresh perspective on conventional fashion trends.
The awards for the AUGALŲ PORTRETAI (“Augalų psichoterapija“) artistic photography competition will be presented.

Performance
AN AESTHETIC CELEBRATION

“An Aesthetic Celebration” will unite the “Femina Bona” community and its partners in an interactive performance. This event will blend the 30-year history of “Femina Bona” with future projections of the beauty and aesthetics industry, complemented by gastronomy tastings.

The storytelling artistry of this performance will be enriched with unexpected visual archival material, seamlessly connecting the past and future. Or perhaps they have always been one and the same? The creative minds behind this performance include the "Femina Bona" community and professional storyteller Milda Varnauskaitė.

During the gastronomy tastings, participants will embark on a sensory journey, exploring sight, touch, and taste. They will discern the difference between authentic natural flavours and their synthetic alternatives. In these ever-changing times, our goal is to bolster participants' trust in their natural instincts and the wisdom of their intuition.
